Jyoti Sanghera

Part curiosity collector, part professional overthinker, Jyoti has a habit of asking "why?" one question too many and somehow ending up with a story worth telling –if only to herself. She is a quintessential Aquarius, equally enthusiastic about ambitious ideas, metaphysical themes and obscure trivia. If found staring into the distance, Jyoti is probably solving a problem, inventing one, or wondering when she will get her next pain au chocolat and coffee.

Certified lover of cats, Jyoti can exist all by herself, surrounded by her two little felines, Toofan and Luna. Forever happy to be in their employ she believes every cat is secretly running quality control on humanity. She says she trusts trees, mountains and animals often more than humans, and firmly believes that every bit of her inspiration stems from the deep notes of a raag, or a smile that blurs the lines between sadness and joy.

Fiercely devoted to this gloriously messy planet, Jyoti is on a mission now to leave places more beautiful than she found them—to create aesthetics and design in especially, fabric – but she also values messiness and chaos. For as long as she can, Jyoti aspires to keep travelling to distant corners of this fabulous planet like a pilgrim. And yes, she absolutely loves the irreverence and brashness of the Gen Z.

A few moons back, Jyoti worked at the Human Rights Office of the United Nations in Geneva for over two decades - a bit too long she thinks. So she has a lot of catching up to do with life and with joy – a daunting task in today’s world!! However, she  promises she will keep trying.
